The AEM 21-778C Cold Air Intake System is engineered to deliver increased horsepower and torque by replacing your Mitsubishi Lancer's stock air filter and intake housing. It utilizes an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter, which offers superior airflow and filtration, and is relocated to the driver-side wheel well to draw in cooler air, thereby reducing intake air temperature and boosting engine performance. The AEM Dryflow air filter is oil-free, made from synthetic media, and can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring cleaning, depending on driving conditions. The system is tuned and dyno-tested to improve acceleration and engine sound, with an estimated horsepower gain of 12 HP at 4900 RPM. Installation is straightforward using common tools. **Emissions Compliance:** For 2016-2017 Mitsubishi Lancer models, this intake system currently does not have a CARB EO # and is not legal for sale or use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.
