AEM Cold Air Intake System

The AEM 21-732C Cold Air Intake System is engineered to deliver significant performance gains for specific Subaru WRX models by optimizing airflow. It replaces the restrictive stock air filter and intake housing with a high-flow system. This intake is designed, tuned, and dyno-tested to enhance throttle response, sharpen acceleration, and improve overall engine efficiency. The system utilizes an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter, which provides excellent filtration and airflow for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. The filter media is oil-free, requiring no special cleaning fluids. The intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum with a durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish. It also accommodates the engine's factory emissions control devices, including the mass air flow sensor. Installation is straightforward, requiring only commonly available tools. The system produces a deeper, more aggressive induction tone, highlighting the improved airflow. It is legal for use in all 50 states, with CARB EO number D-670-26. The estimated horsepower gain is 25 HP at 4200 RPM. The kit includes mounting hardware and one stainless steel clamp. The replacement filter for this system is the AEM 21-2027DK.
