This axle-back exhaust system is designed to replace the rear section of the Volkswagen GTI's exhaust, offering a custom look, improved performance, and a more aggressive exhaust note. It is constructed from 3" to 2-1/2" mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel tubing for maximum strength and durability. The system features dual 4-1/2" diameter black 304 stainless steel clamp-on exhaust tips, laser-etched with the aFe POWER logo. It utilizes factory-style hangers for a secure, hassle-free installation, though some cutting of the OE exhaust is required. The system is 100% MIG welded for strength and durability and is designed using computer-aided design technology for a precise, high-tolerance factory fitment.
