The aFe POWER BrakeLogic Exhaust Brake Control Module is a simple plug-and-play module designed to enhance engine braking for Ford diesel trucks. It works by electronically closing off turbocharger vanes and controlling the transmission to downshift, providing up to 110 retarding horsepower and up to 70psi of exhaust back pressure. The module engages by using the factory tow/haul switch and tapping the brake. It is recommended for vehicles with automatic transmissions, especially when hauling heavy loads or descending steep grades, as it helps maintain speed and prevents brake overuse and overheating.
