The aFe Power Sprint Booster V3 is a power converter designed to enhance your Mercedes-Benz's throttle response and overall drivability. It addresses the inherent delay in Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) or drive-by-wire systems, providing more immediate acceleration for situations like up-hill starts, quick gear changes, and overtaking. The installation is straightforward: simply plug the ultra-compact device into the OE connector located behind the accelerator pedal. It requires no cutting of wires and does not interfere with other critical vehicle systems such as electronic injection or ABS. Each mode can be further fine-tuned with 18 selectable acceleration programs (9 in Sport, 9 in Race), allowing drivers to customize the throttle sensitivity to their preference. The device also features valet and pedal lock modes, which can limit acceleration and prevent unauthorized use via a three-digit PIN. Compatible with both automatic and manual transmissions, the Sprint Booster automatically adjusts its programs based on the selected transmission type, offering 36 programs in total. Beyond improved throttle response for better downshifts and safer overtakes, it can also lead to noticeable improvements in automatic transmission shifts.
