By replacing the AFM-specific components with standard non-AFM hardware, this kit helps improve reliability and engine performance in vehicles originally equipped with the deactivation technology. This kit is specifically intended for applications without a Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve in the valley cover; for engines requiring PCV integration, an alternative kit configuration is required.
