The Spoon Sports Air Cleaner is a performance-oriented replacement filter engineered for the Honda S2000 AP1 models from 2000 to 2009. This air cleaner utilizes a multilayer urethane material, a significant upgrade from the OEM high-density paper filter. The urethane construction is specifically chosen for its ability to dramatically improve filter efficiency, ensuring a cleaner and more consistent air supply to the engine. It accounts for the high volume of air drawn in during throttle opening and the inertial force that compresses air when the throttle closes. This cycle, in turn, increases the efficiency of air replenishment when the accelerator is reapplied, making it an ingenious and necessary upgrade for the Honda NA air-intake system. It is important to note that this Spoon Sports Air Cleaner cannot be washed. It is a direct replacement filter that maintains the factory air box while providing enhanced airflow.
