ISO 5011 filtration tests confirm that cotton-gauze filters effectively capture dirt and debris, but can become clogged, limiting airflow when dirty. Included in the kit is Injen's proprietary air filter oil, which features a distinctive red dye. This dye serves as a visual indicator, allowing users to easily see where the oil has wicked into the filter material. This eliminates the common error of over-oiling, which can negatively impact filter performance and potentially damage the filter. By using the cleaner and oil correctly, you can help maintain the lifespan and performance of your Injen high-flow air filter. It is important to note that Injen's SuperNano-Web dry media air filters do not require the use of any cleaner or oil for proper function. Applying any cleaner or oil to Injen's SuperNano-Web filters will void their warranty. This kit is intended for use with Injen's oiled cotton gauze filters and other compatible reusable filters.
