Overview

The Airflow Research Renegade CNC Ported Aluminum Street Head is a performance cylinder head designed for Ford Small Block engines (289-351W). It features fully CNC ported intake runners, exhaust ports, and combustion chambers for enhanced airflow. This assembled pair of heads includes 185cc intake runners, bronze valve guides, and hardened valve seats.

The Air Flow Research (AFR) 1388 Renegade CNC Ported Aluminum Street Heads are designed as a performance upgrade for Ford Small Block engines, specifically 302-393 cubic inch displacements. These heads boast fully CNC ported intake runners, exhaust ports, and combustion chambers, ensuring optimal flow and performance. Constructed from A356 aluminum, they feature 185cc intake ports and 58cc combustion chambers, with 2.020" intake valves and 1.600" exhaust valves. Recommended for engines operating up to 6000-6500 RPM, these cylinder heads are legal for 1995 and older emissions-controlled vehicles under CARB EO #D-250-3. However, it is crucial to note that they are not compatible with OEM pistons. For optimal performance and installation, AFR recommends specific components such as Fel-Pro intake port gaskets (#1262/AFR #6832) and various ARP head bolts and studs. Angle milling may require a .120" thick intake gasket.
