The JLT Performance 20-3103-01 is a pre-filter designed to enhance the efficiency of performance air filters. Custom-made by Outerwears, it features a proprietary polyester mesh with uniform micron openings, treated with a hydrophobic process to repel water.

This pre-filter filters debris down to .005 inch and is resistant to heat up to 450 degrees. Its puncture-resistant material and reinforced construction, including welded seams or industrial-grade thread, ensure durability and strength. The pre-filter deflects damaging debris that can clog air filters, compromise airflow, and reduce horsepower, while also extending the time between servicing intervals.

The JLT Performance 20-3103-01 pre-filter is custom-made by Outerwears to specifically fit 5 x 7 inch air filters, offering added style and protection to your JLT cold air intake system. Constructed from a proprietary polyester mesh with uniform micron openings, this pre-filter is treated with a hydrophobic process to repel water, protecting your engine from water ingestion during puddles or heavy rainstorms. While effective at repelling water, it is not waterproof; submersion can still allow water into the intake. The mesh is UV resistant, filters particles down to .005 inch, remains shatterproof in freezing temperatures, and is heat resistant up to 450 degrees. The material's puncture resistance and elasticity allow it to return to its original shape if impacted, and it features reinforced construction, including welded seams or industrial-grade thread, to minimize failure points. The water repellency typically lasts between 6-12 months, depending on driving conditions and cleaning frequency. A simple spray test can determine if the repellency is still active. It is important to note that the hydrophobic water-repellent process is a factory treatment and cannot be replicated by aftermarket sprays, which would restrict airflow and negatively impact performance. This pre-filter is specifically designed for JLT Air Filters with a 5"x7" overall measurement of the filter element. It will NOT fit filter sizes outside of this specification.
