Air Intake System with Filter

The GrimmSpeed Cold Air Intake offers a hybrid design that combines the benefits of both Cold Air Intakes and Short Ram Intakes while eliminating their drawbacks. The design prioritizes a short intake tube with minimal bend angles to reduce restriction and enhance performance. Constructed with a laser-cut, CNC-bent aluminum heat shield coated in black texture powdercoat, and a CNC-machined MAF flange, this intake is built for durability and reliability. The included air straightener is also laser cut and tumbled, with the entire assembly TIG welded by expert craftsmen. This intake is designed for easy installation, typically taking around 30 minutes with the provided written and video guides. However, tuning is required, and it is not compatible with the factory tune or any off-the-shelf maps. The consistent airflow through the MAF sensor makes tuning predictable, but professional tuning is always recommended. Dyno testing showed significant gains over stock, with up to an additional 21whp at peak and 30whp earlier in the powerband compared to another popular intake when using a recommended tune. This product is made in the USA and includes the intake tube, high-flow dry filter, hump hose connector, heat shield assembly, hose clamps, MAF flange screws, and a MAF wire grommet. It is designed for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX and STI, as well as the 2009-2013 Subaru Forester XT.
