Air suspension kits augment the suspension capability of your car by pumping air into textile-reinforced flexible rubber bellows. These can either be used as a supplement to the existing suspension system or can be used to replace it. The normal OEM spring and strut arrangement can be replaced by polyurethane or rubber airbags which can then be inflated to behave like springs. In sports cars and even in normal cars, the air suspension kits are used to strengthen the existing suspension system to smoothen the drive. In heavy-duty applications like pickups, they are used as a replacement to the steel spring suspension system.
