This sophisticated bolt-on upgrade builds upon Ksport's Procomp kit, incorporating larger calipers, rotors, and brake pads, along with an increased number of pistons and standard full-floating rotors for superior self-centering capabilities within the caliper. The calipers themselves are crafted from a solid billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, resulting in a one-piece, lightweight, and exceptionally strong construction that resists corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for their enhanced heat resistance, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding conditions. The rotors feature a standard two-piece floating design, where the outer section can subtly adjust, minimizing brake drag and optimizing brake application for increased performance. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material. These pads offer optimal braking performance for street use and occasional track excursions, significantly reducing brake dust (by 50% or more compared to race pads), noise, and rotor wear, with an optimal operating temperature range of 194°F to 1022°F. Further enhancing performance and customization, Ksport offers a choice between slotted or cross-drilled rotors. Slotted rotors are recommended for vehicles used more frequently on the track, while cross-drilled rotors are suggested for daily drivers as they offer superior cooling. All Ksport Big Brake kits are built to order, with an estimated production and delivery time of 4-6 weeks. D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are also standard, providing a quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel by preventing line expansion under pressure. Custom caliper color options, including standard painted colors (Orange, Red, Black, Yellow) and premium high-polish finishes (Silver, Gold, Titanium, Glassy/Hard Anodized), are available, with over 20,000 custom color finishes possible.
