Air-to-Air Intercooler and Piping Kit

The Full Race Intercooler Kit (FR-IC-FK8) is a critical performance upgrade for the 2017+ Honda Civic FK8 Type R's turbocharged engine. The factory intercooler is prone to heat soak, especially during normal driving, leading to intake air temperatures as high as 220°F and potential performance limitations. It is hand-fabricated from aerospace-grade aluminum with TIG-welded end tanks, ensuring durability and optimal performance. The kit includes a charge piping system constructed from 2 1/2" aerospace-grade aluminum, finished with a durable texture black powder coat. This piping is designed as a direct factory replacement. Installation is facilitated by a 100% plug-and-play design and includes a high-strength steel mounting beam. During installation, it's noted that the rubber Front Bumper Side Induction Plates (Left and Right) will not attach to the bottom due to the larger intercooler size; these can be draped over the intercooler to help direct airflow. The installation process involves removal of the factory intercooler and piping, followed by the installation of the new intercooler and piping kit, with specific instructions provided for alignment and securing of components. Tools required range from basic sockets and wrenches to trim removal tools and car ramps.
