Air-to-Air Intercooler System

The Integrated Engineering IETPDA1 is an air-to-air intercooler system meticulously designed for the Audi B9 RS5 2.9TT, obsessively optimized to maximize flow, efficiency, and volume. Integrated Engineering's Flow Distribution System (FDS) technology utilizes precisely shaped fins within the end tank to ensure uniform airflow across the entire core surface area, promoting enhanced heat distribution and quicker temperature recovery. This advanced design is crucial for significantly reducing intake air temperatures (IAT) and combating heat soak, which occurs when IATs exceed the intercooler's cooling capacity, leading to engine timing and boost reduction and a noticeable loss of power. The intercooler boasts a massive core size and efficient use of surface area to consistently lower intake air temperatures compared to OEM, enabling the RS5 to maintain its maximum peak output. Power testing has revealed consistent impacts on horsepower and torque, with gains of 36HP and 35 ft-lbs of torque reported across the entire RPM range. These gains stem from reduced timing and boost pull due to lower intake temperatures, as well as denser, cooler charge air. Installation is involved, requiring draining coolant and some minor plastic trimming, with an average install time of 2-4 hours. An auto-lift is recommended but not required. The system is designed for a precise fit, utilizing state-of-the-art 3D scanning and rapid prototyping. Thick-gauge stainless steel and aluminum mount brackets with reinforced casting mounts ensure longevity and worry-free operation, with every mounting boss and surface undergoing precision CNC machining. The intercooler seamlessly retains the factory crash bar. Fitment is confirmed for North American RS5 models from 2018-2025 (B9) with the 2.9TT engine. It is not compatible with the front crash beam found on all Rest Of World (ROW) RS5/RS4 models. Each intercooler undergoes meticulous hand TIG welding by skilled specialists and rigorous post-welding multi-point inspections and leak-down testing to guarantee reliability and flawless performance out of the box.
