Airbox with K&N Filter for Yamaha CP2 Engines

The Hordpower Airbox is a performance-oriented replacement for the OEM airbox, specifically designed for Yamaha CP2 engines found in models like the FZ, MT, R7, and XSR 700. This component is CNC machined in Reno, NV, and features integrated velocity stacks on the baseplate to enhance airflow. The hard black anodized finish, applied by an aerospace company, ensures durability. Performance gains are significant, with the airbox itself increasing peak horsepower by 4-5hp, and potentially up to 15hp at redline. When combined with a good exhaust and proper ECU reflashing, peak gains of around 9-10hp over a stock bike can be achieved. It comes equipped with a reusable K&N filter element that requires cleaning and re-oiling. Additionally, there is a provision to connect the engine breather. ECU reflashing is mandatory for operation. Hordpower offers flashes for some CP2 models. Fitment details include: FZ/MT models up to 2024, XSR700. For R7 installations, a slight modification to the fuel tank bracket is necessary. For 2025+ MT-07 models, a custom support bracket will need to be fabricated. This product is designed and manufactured for "Competition Use ONLY" and is not street legal. Its use is restricted to closed course racing or competition vehicles, as its impact on emissions has not been proven to meet public road standards.
