The ARB Air Locker RD177 is a pneumatically operated locking differential designed to provide 100% traction on demand for Dana 70X/80X axles. It features a 40-spline shaft and is compatible with 4.10 and down gear ratios. When activated by a 12-volt ARB Air Compressor (sold separately), it locks the differential gears, ensuring both axle shafts turn at the same rate for maximum traction. When unlocked, it functions as a conventional open differential, preserving on-road drivability and reducing driveline wear. The Air Locker boasts a durable, two-piece design with minimal moving parts for reliability, forged gears, a patented 'timed' locking mechanism for quick unlocking, and a steel-reinforced, elastomer-bonded annular seal for extreme temperatures. The kit includes the Air Locker differential, activation switch, solenoid valve, air line, and bulkhead fitting.
