The Aldon Electronic Ignitor is an ignition component designed for Lucas 43D/45D/59D distributors. It is suitable for Mini models manufactured from 1974 onwards.

The Aldon 'Ignitor' is a proven electronic ignition system that has been successfully used for many years, making it an ideal choice for race enthusiasts, general road users, and classic car restorers. This ignitor operates efficiently across a wide voltage range of 6v to 16v and can withstand temperatures from 50°F to 300°F. It functions throughout the engine's full RPM range, down to zero RPM. When using the 'Ignitor', you can expect available voltages between 30,000 and 35,000 volts, significantly higher than the typical 26,000 to 27,000 volts found in standard systems. For those seeking a high-energy system, the 'Ignitor' can be converted by installing a high-energy coil and silicon HT leads; the Aldon 'Flame Thrower' coil or Lucas sports coil are recommended and have proven to be highly compatible.
