The Skunk2 Front Mount Intercooler is engineered as a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock plastic intercooler in 2022-2026 Honda Civic Si and Sport 1.5T models. This upgrade utilizes an all-aluminum construction, featuring cast A357 aluminum end tanks TIG-welded to a high-efficiency bar-and-plate core (660 x 90 x 178 mm). This design significantly improves heat rejection and flow compared to the factory unit. In testing, the Skunk2 intercooler has demonstrated an average intake air temperature drop of over 20% compared to stock. This reduction in intake temps leads to more consistent engine timing, safer knock levels, and improved overall engine health, especially during hot weather or extended performance driving.
