The Allison Transmission 10061T is a remanufactured 5-speed automatic transmission belonging to the 1000 M74 transmission family. This unit has been fully remanufactured to meet or exceed original equipment (OE) specifications, ensuring reliability and performance. It is backed by a comprehensive 7-year, million-mile warranty, demonstrating the manufacturer's confidence in its quality and durability. This transmission features several improvements over standard models. The remanufactured late-design pump includes new line bore bushings to prevent leaks and late-OEM front pump covers to address cracking issues around torque converter pads. The torque converter has been overhauled with an updated relief spring for improved performance, eliminating delayed engagement and reducing operating temperatures. Valve body corrections include an upgraded lube regulator valve for lower temps and an updated E-Shift valve spring and F-Trim valve sleeve for enhanced shift quality and durability. Additionally, custom-spec bushings are used with a polished, mirror-like finish, and the C3 clutch assembly is upgraded with an extra friction plate to increase load capacity for heavy-duty towing. This specific transmission is designed to fit the 2011-2012 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3500, and GMC Sierra 2500, 3500 models.
