ALLISON SK Valve Body Repair Kit

The TransGo ALLISON SK is a valve body repair kit specifically engineered for Allison 1000, 2000, and 2400 five-speed automatic transmissions found in 2001-2005 General Motors vehicles. This kit targets prevalent problems like the transmission neutralizing under high load in 4th or 5th gear, premature wear and failure of C2 clutch plates, and intermittent or complete loss of forward and reverse drive. It increases the friction torque capacity of the C2 clutch by approximately 111% and the C3 and C4 brakes by approximately 100% (when the lock-up clutch is off and line pressure is at maximum). For 2001-2003 models, the included TCC limit and lube regulator valve springs help combat excessive torque converter drain-back and loss of pump prime, which can cause a "no move" condition after extended parking. This kit corrects or prevents issues such as 3-4 slip, neutralizing under load in 4th or 5th gear, burnt C2 and C3 friction plates, "no move" conditions after parking, loss of pump prime, and getting stuck in a single gear. It also helps address diagnostic trouble codes like P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, P0766, and P0777. Installation includes components like C2 piston orifice cup plugs, C2 piston return springs, hardened steel trim valves, springs, gaskets, and drill bits.
