Alloy Axle Set, 31 Spline, 31.82" x 32.71"

The Strange Engineering P3111 alloy axles are engineered to withstand the demanding bending loads encountered in street use. They are forged from modified 1550 premium steel, with the majority of machining performed before heat treatment to ensure consistent hardness. The induction hardening process brings them to an Rc 62 rating, enhancing torsional strength while maintaining ductility. These axles feature 31 splines and measure 31.82" x 32.71" from the outside face of the flange to the axle tip. The design includes dual 4.5" bolt circles, allowing for the use of either OEM 1/2" press-in studs or 1/2"-20 screw-in studs. The shoulder of the axle is designed to accept a radius ring that minimizes stress concentrations, and they are made with a large 1.563” diameter axle bearing area. A billet aluminum brake register is also provided to correctly locate the center of your disc or drum brake system. Strange Engineering's C-Clip Axles utilize updated material and machining technology to replace older, fatigued OEM axles, and are suitable for replacing axles damaged by bearing failure. They also help reduce end play caused by worn clip grooves, making them a perfect addition to a rebuilt rear end.
