The Mobil Almo 532 is a specialty lubricant designed for the lubrication of pneumatically operated rock drills in underground and surface mining operations. The Mobil Almo 532 is a premium, high-performance specialty lubricant engineered for the demanding lubrication needs of pneumatically operated rock drills used in underground and surface mining. This lubricant is designed with an optimal balance of adhesiveness and emulsifiable properties. It effectively picks up moisture carried in the air stream, which helps to reduce the negative impacts of water on wear and corrosion. Unlike other lubricants, the Mobil Almo 532 will not form gummy deposits that can impede valve operation. Its preferential metal-wetting capabilities ensure continuous oil films, even in the presence of water, contributing to extended equipment life. Key features include effective chemical stability, which minimizes sludge and deposit formation for improved valve function, and desired emulsifiable properties for effective lubrication even when water is present. The high viscosity index ensures consistent lubrication across a wide range of temperatures, from low temperatures caused by air expansion to high operating temperatures.
