Alpha R35 GT-R Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake

The AMS Alpha R35 GT-R Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake system is engineered to draw a higher volume of cool air into the stock turbochargers, significantly boosting power and allowing enthusiasts to hear the turbos spool up and bypass valve venting. It features motorsports-grade, high-temperature resistant carbon fiber tubing, hand-laid with a 3-layer, 1mm twill weave prepreg construction capable of sustaining a 240°C threshold without fading or yellowing, unlike typical gloss clear-coated alternatives. The system utilizes a reusable, purpose-built synthetic high-flow dry media filter, eliminating the need for frequent replacement of standard paper filters. This intake supports well over 1000HP and is compatible with factory turbo inlet pipes (2011 and older, and the larger 2012+) as well as aftermarket inlets using the stock 2-bolt compressor/turbo inlet suction pipe configuration. It offers a 4 lb weight savings over the stock system. Due to the altered pipe size affecting the calibration of the factory MAF sensor, an aftermarket ECU calibration is required. The Cobb AccessPort is recommended, but the intake is compatible with all other ECU calibration solutions. For those who may exceed the limits of the stock MAF sensors, the intake can be upgraded to operate as speed density by adding the optional AMS Alpha R35 GT-R MAF Block-Off Plates. The kit includes 3" (76mm) carbon fiber air intakes, high-flow dry media air filters, 5-ply reinforced silicone couplers, and all necessary hardware and installation instructions.
