The Skunk2 Alpha Series connecting rods are a performance upgrade designed specifically for use with Vitara pistons. These rods are engineered with a fatter, H-beam design that offers increased strength without a significant weight increase. The construction utilizes heat-treated, FEA analyzed, and Magna-flux inspected material to ensure exceptional durability and reliability under demanding conditions. Key features of these rods include 3/8-Inch ARP2000/Skunk2 bolts and bronze wrist pin bushings for precise fitment and longevity. The design incorporates dual-pin oil passages, enhancing lubrication and overall strength, which contributes to their capability of handling over 900 horsepower. Furthermore, each set is balanced to a tight tolerance of +/- 1 gram, ensuring optimal engine balance and performance. The pin end is compatible with most pistons without requiring additional machining, simplifying installation.
