The Skunk2 308-05-1600 Alpha Titanium Retainers are specifically designed for Honda's D series engines, employing advanced computer-aided design techniques. Pre-2004 keepers can be identified by the absence of laser-etched marks along their top edge, unlike the 2004 and newer keepers which feature these marks. Proper retainer and keeper/lock selection is important due to varying angle ratios between earlier and later lock designs. Furthermore, these Alpha Series Retainers are not compatible with Ultra & BMF Series Camshafts. Ensure compatibility before installation.
