The Skunk2 Alpha Valve Spring & Titanium Retainer Kit is a comprehensive valvetrain upgrade engineered for Honda K-Series engines, including K20 and K24 variants. It features dual valve springs manufactured from premium chrome-silicone wire sourced from Japan, paired in a dual spring setup with differing frequencies for optimized damping. This configuration ensures outstanding stability and prevents valve float at engine speeds exceeding 10,000 RPM. The accompanying Alpha Titanium Retainers are CNC-machined from medical-grade titanium, featuring lightening grooves and radius-cut edges for improved rocker clearance and reduced height for enhanced valve seal clearance. Each retainer is individually serialized for traceability. The kit aims to reduce valvetrain mass, enhance valve control, and support improved engine response and horsepower. Important installation considerations include the use of Skunk2 Spring Bases (P/N 312-05-0010) for F20C/F22C or single-spring K-Series heads. When installing Skunk2 Titanium Retainers on 2004+ engines, pre-2004 keepers must be used, as incorrect pairing can lead to serious engine damage. The kit is designed for Honda K20/K20A/K20Z and K24/K24A/K24Z engines.
