Alternator Tensioner Arm

The Evospec Alternator Tensioner Arms are a performance upgrade for Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 models. This system replaces the OEM alternator tensioner, converting the alternator itself into the adjustment point. This modification offers several benefits, including a reduction of 2.2 lbs in weight, less belt drag, and the elimination of belt-throwing issues caused by the OEM auto tensioner spring, which can weaken and open up at high RPMs. Constructed from billet aluminum and utilizing OEM-correctly sized titanium bolts, these tensioner arms are built for durability and performance, particularly suited for higher horsepower and higher-revving applications. The kit includes the new tensioner arm and titanium bolts. An optional belt from Gates Racing is available, but customers must provide specific details about their pulley setup (OEM or Evospec pulleys) to ensure a proper fit. It is important to note that if you have a mixed setup of aftermarket and OEM pulleys, the supplied belt may not fit. In such cases, it is recommended to select the "no belt" option and source the correct belt yourself.
