Aluminized Heat Tape

The Design Engineering Cool Tape is a flexible, self-adhesive thermal insulating tape built to protect components from extreme heat. It's crafted from a one-mil aluminized material bonded to a woven glass fiber heat-resistant matting, making it an ultra-lightweight, heat-reflective solution. This versatile tape is capable of protecting against up to 2000°F of radiant heat and withstands direct heat up to 400°F. Its strong self-adhesive backing allows for easy application in various scenarios, including wrapping wires, cables, hoses, and fuel lines, as well as covering seams and securing panels. It is also suitable for sealing air boxes and giving a finished edge look to other DEI products like Reflect-A-Cool, Heat Screen, and Floor & Tunnel Shield II. While highly effective for numerous automotive thermal management needs, it is critical to note that this Cool Tape should NOT be applied directly to exhaust components.
