Each caliper is precision-machined from a single billet of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are utilized for improved heat management and reliable performance. This kit features two-piece slotted rotors, offering a balance of light weight, fade-free performance, and effective grip suitable for both track and daily driving. The calipers themselves boast an opposed piston design, which enhances pad wear and increases caliper rigidity compared to OEM components. For the rear Procomp systems, lightweight 4-piston aluminum calipers are standard in 13" and 14" kits, providing a substantial upgrade over stock. All Ksport Big Brake kits include CNC-machined carbon steel caliper brackets that facilitate direct bolt-on installation to your OEM caliper bracket locations. Included with the kit are SC5 Street Pads, formulated with NAOC Ceramic material for optimal braking performance in street and occasional track use. These pads offer a significant reduction in brake dust (50% or more compared to race pads), along with reduced noise and rotor wear, operating effectively between 194°F and 1022°F. Furthermore, DOT-compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines are standard, preventing line expansion under pressure for quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel.
