The Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe (BM-ICP007) is engineered as a robust upgrade for the factory plastic charge pipe found in various BMW N55-powered models, including the 335i, 435i, M135i, M235i, and M2. Constructed from lightweight yet durable 6061 aluminum with mandrel-bent piping and beaded ends secured by T-bolt clamps, it is designed to withstand higher boost pressures that can cause the OEM pipe to fail. This direct replacement aims to enhance performance by increasing throttle response and reducing turbo lag. The charge pipe features precision CNC-machined flanges for both the throttle body and MAP sensor, ensuring a leak-free connection that replicates the factory's reliable O-ring seal system. Unlike some aftermarket options that use silicone hoses, this design maintains the secure, factory-style connection at the throttle body, which has been pressure tested to hold over 25 PSI. The MAP sensor flange also utilizes the factory O-ring for a proper seal, preventing boost leaks. Installation is rated as easy (2 out of 5). The kit includes all necessary hardware for a complete installation. Two 1/8" NPT bungs are pre-welded to the diverter valve charge pipe, providing convenient ports for methanol injection, nitrous systems, or a boost gauge connection. These bungs come with plugs for use when not running injection systems. Special bungs are available for Aquamist methanol injection kits, which use a different thread pitch. It is compatible with the factory electronic diverter valve. The product comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Available finishes include brush, mirror polish, and Type III Hard Black Anodizing.
