Constructed from precision CNC mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, this intake ensures consistent and perfect-fitting parts. Its design incorporates correct MAF sensor alignment and tubing size, specifically calibrated to maintain proper air-fuel ratios and avoid triggering check engine lights. This intake system is designed for a direct, bolt-on installation, with an estimated DIY install time of 30 minutes. It comes complete with all necessary components, including the PERRIN intake body, a washable cone filter, coupler, bracket, clamps, and mounting hardware. The system does not require an ECU recalibration or tune to function safely, although ECU tuning can unlock further power gains when combined with other modifications. This PERRIN Short Ram Intake is compatible with 2002-2007 Subaru WRX, 2004-2007 Subaru STI, and 2004-2008 Subaru Forester XT models. Please note that all engine and exhaust components, including intake systems, have been designed and are intended for off-road applications only. They are legal in California for racing vehicles only and may never be used on public roads or highways. Federal and many state laws prohibit the removal or modification of emission-affecting devices. Owners and users are solely responsible for ensuring the legality and safety of their vehicle modifications.
