The Street Aero front splitter is specifically designed to enhance the appearance and aerodynamics of the 2015-2017 Volkswagen GTI models. Constructed from a robust 6mm thick Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), this splitter benefits from excellent UV resistance, superior weatherability, and an anti-corrosion skin, ensuring a long-lasting, brilliant look that is also easy to clean. Precision is paramount in the manufacturing of this aero component. For optimal fitment, removing the factory splash guards is recommended. Installation can be performed by the purchaser, though professional installation is advised. Critical for proper support, the bumper, undershroud, or valence must be securely mounted to the chassis to bear the splitter's weight. The assembled front splitter and bumper assembly must be bolted to the under-frame, ideally mounted as close to the front of the bumper as possible. For bumpers not bolted to the under-frame, brackets (not included) are required for secure mounting. While splitter rods are not necessary for standard use, they are recommended for high-speed driving to ensure added support. Required tools for installation include a drill, screwdriver, a 10mm wrench, and a car jack.
