The TRW Rear Guide Rod is a direct replacement and upgrade for the rear left upper forward suspension control arm on specific BMW models. Unlike stock non-M arms constructed from spot-welded sheet metal, which are prone to flexing and bending under cornering loads, this TRW component is forged from a single piece of aluminum for enhanced strength and rigidity. It incorporates a sealed monoball inner bushing, allowing the arm to rotate smoothly rather than twist, contributing to more stable and consistent handling. This design is specifically intended to improve performance and stability, especially when paired with grippier tires or increased engine torque. This rear guide rod is compatible with a wide range of BMW E82, E90, E91, E92, and E93 models, including various 1 Series and 3 Series variants, as well as the M3. The product is backed by a Lifetime Replacement Program.
