Upgrade your S550 Mustang with the Mishimoto Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank, finished in a sleek black powdercoat. This unit offers superior strength and reliability compared to the stock plastic tank, which is known to fail under high temperatures. The all-aluminum construction, combined with fully TIG-welded seams, ensures long-lasting durability and improved underhood aesthetics. This prevents air from entering the cooling system and causing potential starvation issues from the overflow ports. The one-piece design also reuses the stock overflow cap and includes a convenient sight tube for at-a-glance coolant level checks. Installation is straightforward, designed as a direct-fit replacement that reuses the stock overflow cap and hardware. It typically takes under an hour to install. This expansion tank is compatible with all 2015-2023 Ford Mustang models, including GT, EcoBoost, and V6 variants. However, it is specifically noted that this tank will not fit the GT350 models.
