The Rein Aluminum coolant hose is designed as an OEM-type replacement for BMW part #11537541992, connecting the cylinder head to the thermostat housing. This component functions as a water/coolant outlet hose, responsible for draining hot coolant from the cylinder head back into the thermostat. This hose is distinguished by its aluminum flange connector, a significant upgrade from the typically brittle plastic connectors found in factory components. This aluminum construction aims to prevent leaks that can occur on the front of N54 engines due to the weakness of plastic parts. Addressing coolant leaks promptly is crucial, as leaking coolant can damage belts and lead to further issues. The Rein Automotive coolant hose is suitable for N54 twin-turbo engines.
