The SPELAB Coolant Reservoir offers a significant upgrade over the stock plastic coolant overflow tank found in the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro models. Over time, the original plastic tanks can become brittle, hazy, and prone to leaks, while also making it difficult to accurately check the coolant level. This SPELAB tank addresses these issues by utilizing a robust construction from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, meticulously TIG welded and pressure tested for maximum strength and leak-free performance. Unlike the factory design, which often consists of two sealed plastic pieces, SPELAB's single-piece aluminum fabrication eliminates inherent stress points that can lead to cracking and leaks. The aluminum material also contributes to dissipating heat from the cooling system, which can enhance overall system performance and extend component longevity. The design ensures compatibility with the factory coolant cap, with upgraded options also available, and features an integrated sight glass for convenient and accurate coolant level monitoring.
