Aluminum Cylinder Head

The General Motors 12564243 cylinder head, also identified by casting number 243, is a performance-oriented component engineered for Generation III V8 engine applications. Key features include reshaped intake ports and D-shaped exhaust ports, contributing to improved performance and efficiency. It is a genuine OEM part from GM, commonly used in LS2 and LS6 engines and is noted for its durability and precise engineering in both motorsport and everyday driving conditions. The combustion chamber volume is 65cc, contributing to a higher compression ratio. This cylinder head is suitable for a wide range of LS series applications, including truck-spec LQ9 and LQ4 engines, though these may have slightly larger combustion chambers.
