The HINSON Motorsports GTO Aluminum Driveshaft is a high-performance replacement for the factory two-piece design in 2004-2006 Pontiac GTOs. It eliminates issues associated with the OEM driveshaft's carrier bearing, such as vibration and power loss. This driveshaft is constructed from lightweight, durable aluminum with a 0.120” thick wall and is rated for up to 800HP.

Upgrade your 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO with the HINSON Motorsports Aluminum Driveshaft, a high-performance one-piece replacement designed to overcome the weaknesses of the factory two-piece driveshaft. The original GTO driveshaft's carrier bearing is a common failure point, often leading to vibrations, power loss, and reduced reliability. This Hinson Motorsports driveshaft replaces that problematic component, providing a smoother driving experience, improved throttle response, and more efficient power transfer to the rear wheels. Engineered for strength and performance, this aluminum driveshaft is rated for up to 800 horsepower, making it ideal for high-performance street applications. It features a critical speed rating of 160 mph or 7,800 rpm, ensuring stable operation even at high speeds. The driveshaft is constructed with a robust 0.120-inch thick aluminum wall for durability and longevity. It bolts directly to the factory rear pinion yoke. Minor modifications, such as slight grinding of the rear seat belt bolts, may be required. The package includes a balanced driveshaft, 12.9-grade installation hardware, and thread locker for a complete setup. Availability varies for yoke types: Stock T56 or 4L60e (27 Spline) and Magnum T56 (31 Spline) variants have different lead times. Hinson Motorsports typically has a historical lead time of 3-5 days, though current staffing may extend this to 10 business days. The driveshaft is proudly made in the USA.
