The ScienceofSpeed Racing Heat Exchanger Kit is engineered as a direct replacement for the smaller factory heat exchanger found in ScienceofSpeed, Comptech, and Vortech supercharger systems, making it ideal for demanding racing or high-performance, high-boost applications. Mounted at the front of the vehicle, this component dissipates heat from the coolant circulating between the aftercooler and the heat exchanger via a dedicated water pump. Constructed from aluminum, this dual-pass heat exchanger boasts a substantial 360% increase in both surface area and core volume over the stock unit. It is optimized for high horsepower applications exceeding 9 PSI. The dual-pass design enhances cooling efficiency by allowing for longer coolant dwell time within the core. Despite its increased size, the unit is carefully proportioned to maintain adequate airflow to the factory radiator and remains reasonable in weight, only adding approximately 1.2 lbs. It features billet aluminum hose fittings and mounts to factory locations using three adjustable aluminum brackets. All necessary mounting hardware is included. A subtle ScienceofSpeed logo is present on the front surface. For those purchasing new ScienceofSpeed Supercharger Systems, an upgrade option is available at a reduced cost, as certain components of the standard heat exchanger system are not needed.
