Aluminum Engine Splash Shield

The ZSpeed Nissan 350Z Infiniti G35 Aluminum Engine Splash Shield, also known as an undershroud or skid plate, is proudly produced in the USA and is designed as a robust replacement for the factory plastic shield that often deteriorates. Constructed from strong .063" thick aluminum, this shield provides superior protection for your engine's critical components from road debris and impacts. This V2 version of the splash shield features added vents to help hot air escape the engine compartment, and offers increased clearance for deeper oil pans and larger sway bars. It includes all necessary mounting hardware, such as bolts, washers, and U-nuts, for a complete installation. The design incorporates a one-piece rear section for enhanced strength, and an integrated oil access door secured by two bolts, allowing for easy oil filter and drain plug service. For more extensive access, the entire rear section can be removed by unfastening eight bolts. Beyond protection, the ZSpeed splash shield plays a role in vehicle aerodynamics and cooling by ensuring proper air channeling. It also adds rigidity to the front bumper, which can help prevent damage at high speeds. The shield has an aluminum finish and is not powder-coated. The entire unit weighs approximately 4.5lbs, significantly lighter than many other options while offering greater protection.
