Description

The Canton Racing 80-272 is a precisely engineered aluminum expansion tank for 2002-2008 Mini Cooper and Cooper S vehicles. Its construction utilizes TIG welding, a process that demands more skill and time than MIG welding but results in superior, more consistent welds with a reduced risk of leaks and cracks. Canton Racing applies the same rigorous production and quality assurance methods used for parts supplied to performance brands like Ford, Roush, and Mopar to ensure accuracy and reliability. This expansion tank is designed with a billet radiator-style neck, specifically configured to accept Canton Racing part #81-030 pressure cap or any standard 30 psi radiator-style cap. Every tank produced by Canton undergoes multiple leak tests and is fitted onto engine blocks or heads during production to guarantee an easy installation on its intended application. The material is aluminum, known for its strength and corrosion resistance, contributing to the longevity of the component.
