Description

The ZZP Aluminum Flywheel is engineered as a direct stock replacement, constructed from durable aluminum. This flywheel offers a substantial weight reduction, shedding 11 pounds compared to the factory unit (8.5# vs. 19.5#). This significant decrease in rotational mass leads to reduced parasitic loss, freeing up more power. Additionally, the lighter flywheel improves shift feel by allowing RPMs to drop more quickly. This facilitates better synchro engagement, resulting in smoother and more precise gear changes. Compatibility is specific: it fits only the 8-bolt 2.0 liter crank and the F35 5-speed transmission. Prior to installation, it is crucial to remove the colored protective film from the friction surface using brake cleaner.
