The Fidanza 161181 is an aluminum flywheel designed for performance and weight reduction. The friction surface is made from durable 1045 steel, and the ring gear is from heat-treated 1050 steel.

This flywheel is compatible with all types of clutch materials, including organic, kevlar, ceramic, metallic, and sintered iron. It features a replaceable friction surface, attached with military-grade aerospace fasteners, which allows for replacement of just the friction plate when worn, saving time and money. The ring gear is heated, pressed on, and secured with grade 8 button screws.

Crafted from premium 6061 T6 aluminum, this flywheel boasts superior strength, exceptional heat dissipation capabilities, and a substantially reduced weight of only 9 lbs compared to stock. The friction surface is precision-milled from robust 1045 steel, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of clutch materials such as organic, kevlar, ceramic, metallic, and sintered iron. For added longevity and ease of maintenance, the friction surface is replaceable. This feature, secured by military-grade aerospace fasteners, means you can replace just the friction plate when the clutch or flywheel reaches the end of its life, saving both time and money on future maintenance. The durability of the Fidanza 161181 is further enhanced by its heat-treated 1050 steel ring gear. This component is heated and pressed onto the flywheel, then secured with grade 8 button screws for a reliable and long-lasting connection. Fidanza also incorporates a unique stepped dowel system on many of their flywheels, which locks the pressure plate dowels into place once installed, preventing them from dislodging. This flywheel is designed to fit 1994-2005 Mazda Miata 1.8L models.
