The Ksport Procomp Rear Big Brake Kit provides the ultimate in stopping power, designed as a sophisticated bolt-on upgrade. It enhances brake performance significantly, especially under sustained high-heat conditions. The calipers are constructed from a solid billet of aerospace-quality aluminum, featuring a one-piece forged design for strength and resistance to corrosion. Aluminum pistons are protected by heavy-duty seals capable of handling racetrack temperatures, ensuring smooth operation. The opposed-piston design guarantees consistent brake pad grip and wear. Crafted with 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum center sections, these rotors reduce rotational mass and improve brake response. The two-piece design also helps mitigate rotor warping due to heat buildup, and the aluminum center sections act as heat sinks. Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for daily driven vehicles due to cooler operating temperatures, while slotted rotors are suggested for track use, offering enhanced "bite" and cleaning of the pad surface. Included are D.O.T. compliant stainless-steel braided brake lines, which prevent expansion under pressure, leading to quicker pedal response and a firmer pedal feel. The kit comes standard with SC5 Street Pads, offering optimal performance for street and occasional track use with reduced dust and noise. An upgrade to RCI Race Pads is available for extreme track conditions. Calipers are available in various standard and premium finishes.
