Aluminum Heat Shield

The Heatshield Products I-M Shield (HSP-140014) is engineered to significantly reduce heat transfer from the top of your 5.0L Coyote engine's OE intake manifold. This "intercooler for your intake" helps lower air-intake temperatures, leading to a denser air/fuel mixture and increased horsepower. The shield is made from aluminum and is capable of withstanding 1,100 degrees F radiant continuous and 2,000 F intermittent temperatures, with an adhesive backing rated for 300 degrees F. The I-M Shield is precut for specific OE intake manifolds, ensuring precise fitment and effective heat shielding. The process involves degreasing the surface, cleaning with pre-paint cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, allowing it to dry, and then firmly pressing the shield onto the underside of the intake manifold. Edging tape is provided for finishing the installation. It is suitable for both composite and aluminum intake manifolds. This heat shield is specifically designed for the 2018 and newer OE intake manifolds on 5.0L Coyote powerhouses. Fitment is confirmed for 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT and Bullitt models. The product offers a significant improvement in dollar-per-horsepower gain by protecting the intake manifold from engine heat radiation, which directly contributes to more power.
