The Mitsubishi OEM Aluminum Valve Cover is a genuine replacement component designed for the 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Constructed from durable aluminum, this valve cover serves as an upgrade over the original plastic version, offering enhanced longevity and a premium look. It is designed as a direct-fit replacement to ensure compatibility and ease of installation. This kit includes essential gaskets, specifically the valve cover gasket and spark plug gaskets, ensuring a complete replacement solution. The aluminum construction provides a robust solution to potential issues with plastic valve covers, such as heat-related degradation. It's important to note that while this metal valve cover is a direct replacement for the 2008-2009 Evo X models, a modification may be necessary for 2010+ models. These later models came factory-equipped with a plastic valve cover, and the vent that connects to the intake pipe differs. If upgrading from a plastic to this metal valve cover on a 2010+ Evo X, you will need to change that connecting line. Unfortunately, the specific OEM vent hose required for this adaptation is no longer available from Mitsubishi.
