The Carbon Creations AM-S Style Hood is a high-performance, single-piece replacement for your 2013-2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Crafted from genuine, hand-laid carbon fiber, this hood significantly reduces weight compared to the original OEM steel component without compromising structural rigidity. This AM-S style hood integrates aggressive lines with functional venting, enhancing the vehicle's aesthetic and aerodynamic profile. The product arrives brand new with a clear coat applied, ready for installation. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure proper alignment and fitment, as carbon fiber parts are not exact OEM replacements. Installation requires the use of hood pins for secure mounting. This is due to the significantly lighter weight of carbon fiber compared to OEM steel, which alters how the factory latch distributes load. Hood pins are essential to secure the front corners of the hood and prevent unintended lift at higher speeds. It is recommended to verify your vehicle's existing hood pin mounting points before ordering. Ensure existing hinges and latches are in good condition and properly aligned before mounting the new panel; any hinge or latch damage should be addressed prior to installation. Regular washing and waxing are recommended to maintain the carbon fiber finish long-term, avoiding abrasive polishing compounds.
