AMP'd MicroSquirt ECU

The AMP EFI AMP'd MicroSquirt is an upgraded, fully assembled Engine Control Unit (ECU) suitable for applications ranging from single-cylinder to 8-cylinder engines. This latest version from AMP EFI boasts several enhancements over the standard MicroSquirt, including higher current capacity injector drivers, capable of handling up to 19 amps, and an upgraded optoisolated input with increased voltage and current handling. It also features 4 user-configurable option switches that activate on-board pullup resistors, useful for applications using hall or optical crank and cam sensors. These switches can also repurpose digital switch outputs to become logic-level ignition outputs, eliminating the need for internal soldering. This versatile ECU supports over 40 different ignition modes, accommodating mainstream applications like GM LS1 and Ford Zetec, as well as more niche systems such as Renix Jeep and Suzuki Swift GTI. The AMP'd MicroSquirt is recommended for scenarios involving 6 injectors in the 8-10 ohm range, 8 or more injectors, 6 or 8 cylinder distributorless ignition systems (in wasted spark configuration), 4-cylinder sequential coil-on-plug setups, and fuel-only installations triggered by an ignition coil's negative terminal. Key hardware features include 2 high-impedance injector outputs, 2 dedicated spark outputs, 2 general-purpose outputs that can be repurposed as spark outputs with switchable pull-ups, 1 PWM IAC output, 1 dedicated fuel pump output, 2 variable reluctor conditioned inputs with switchable pull-ups, 1 optoisolated RPM input, 1 flex fuel or general-purpose switched input, and 7 analog inputs. Software features include support for speed density, alpha-N, or MAF-based fueling and spark tables with 0.66 microsecond injector pulse width resolution. It allows blending of multiple load types, specialized modes for independent throttle bodies, and supports a wide variety of OEM cam and crank position sensors. Additional software capabilities include accelerator pump or model-based acceleration enrichment, closed/open loop idle speed and boost control, on/off nitrous control, Wankel rotary support, staged injection, table switching, 16x16 fuel tables, 12x12 spark tables, a 2-step rev limiter with no-lift shifting, wideband AFR target tables, flex fuel sensor input, and real-time barometric correction (external sensor required).
