The Rockford Fosgate RFK-HD14M5 is a comprehensive amplifier installation kit engineered specifically for select 2014-current Harley-Davidson motorcycles, including Road Glide, Street Glide, Ultra, and CVO models. This kit facilitates the installation of Rockford Fosgate M5-800X4 or TM400X4ad amplifiers, offering a simple plug-and-play design that requires no cutting or modification of factory wiring. Its "Element Ready" construction ensures durability against water, dirt, UV rays, and motorcycle vibrations, making it suitable for the demanding conditions of the road. Key features of the RFK-HD14M5 include 8 AWG power and ground wiring, a 60 Amp MAXI fuse, and 16 AWG speaker wire. It comes with mounting brackets for Bat Wing and Shark Nose fairings, as well as Y-adaptors for expanding speaker installations in lower fairings, saddlebags, or Tour-Paks. The kit also includes Boom!™ Audio bypass plugs for compatibility with factory Harman Kardon amplified systems and a Digital Signal Processor loop-thru for adding a DSR1 signal processor. Crucially, this kit requires the factory Harley-Davidson radio to be flashed before use. Specifically, the "Rockford Fosgate 2014+ All Bikes" flash is necessary for the T-harness to support front/rear fader control. This flashing procedure is essential for proper integration and functionality. The kit is designed for use with the M5-800X4 amplifier (sold separately) and the TM400X4ad amplifier. It utilizes 100% pure crystal-oxygen free copper (PC-OFC) cables that meet or exceed AWG requirements, and conforms to the CTA-2015 industry standard for wire gauge.
